As both a Chartered Loss Adjuster and Chartered Accountant Damian has experience of practical loss mitigation as well as the retrospective assessment of losses arising. Dealing exclusively with large and/or complex financial losses, he represents both policyholders and insurers, and acts as an expert in commercial disputes.
Damian chairs the CILA Business Interruption group and is a published author on the subject, including co-chairing a widely read report on BI wordings issued by CILA and the IIL/CII.
Glen’s role with IBM features supporting insurance industry clients across Europe to enhance the management of fraud, by using multi-layered analytics and machine learning, and assisting optimise operational fraud strategy.
Well known in the Industry for his domain expertise and knowledge, Glen has spent 30 years dealing with insurance fraud in the UK, Europe and Australia, at Executive, Senior and Operational Management, hands-on Investigator and industry Strategy level, including as Director of the Insurance Fraud Bureau. Glen has formed part of industry initiatives that have become milestone deliveries and appeared on national television as an industry expert.
Starting his insurance career as a graduate trainee Paul has been handling customer’s losses for over 28 years. His claims experience at some of the UK’s leading Insurers has also included managing large Motor, Casualty & Professional Indemnity exposures.
Paul joined Zurich in 2010 to a role involving the rapid response to large property claims - including serious fires, floods & explosions. Paul assists with political lobbying on some of the big issues currently facing Zurich UK’s clients. These include the challenges around metal theft, commercial squatting and fly-tipping. He also contributes to the company’s output on various risk topics, sharing insight & loss management advice.
Paul is currently Deputy Chairman of the CILA Property SIG.
Alex joined McLarens Private Clients in May 2018, having devoted much of the last decade to working in the Private Clients field, both with Cunningham Lindsey and QuestGates.
Alex specialises in claims from across the High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth spectrum, both buildings and contents related and manages a focused portfolio of work for a large variety of Principals. Alex has a personal interest in the world of horology and has over the last 20 years built a collection of modern and antique wristwatches.
Jane grew up on her family dairy farm in Lancashire before studying agricultural and environmental sciences. Jane is highly sought after by the UK’s leading agricultural insurers, she has established herself as the UK’s leading dairy and poultry adjuster and is nominated on numerous large and VIP client accounts.
Jane now lives in rural Somerset near Bath.
Max grew up in rural Somerset where he started working on a neighbouring dairy farm at age 14. In 2006 he moved to France where he spent ten years working on dairy, beef, arable, pig, poultry and tobacco farms.
Now living in West Yorkshire; Max’s role includes designing training programmes, consultancy work and client development on a national level.

Mike began his career in loss adjusting in 1976 in West Yorkshire, subsequently transferring to Greater Manchester where he spent nearly 30 years dealing with commercial property claims, particularly major losses throughout the region and abroad.
As well as his wealth of practical experience, Mike has published papers on a variety of topics, perhaps most notably issues concerning claims involving landlords and tenants. He is also currently chairman of the CILA Property SIG.
